my shot

Okay, I’m about to get pretty lame. I posted an amazing photo of cheetahs on a truck that came from National Geographics “My Shot” contest. This is a photo contest where anyone can submit their photos to Nat Geo and people can vote for them. So I’ve submitted a photo and I hope you do to!

cheetahs on a truck

I’m an avid follower of National Geographic, and although I love their magazine, I am often disappointed with the frequency of animal related news posts on their website. However, their photography does not disappoint, and I think this is one of my favorites.

Camera traps! 225 camera traps have been set up over 390 square miles in hopes to get a sense of how the Serengeti functions as an ecosystem without humans being present.

lions and tigers and coatis oh my!

The floors were covered in feces and many of the cats were without water and on the verge of starvation, then these people came in in their lime green shirts and took them and gave them a better home.
